On the pitch, the situation of Varese Basketball is not the best: after the home defeat against Napoli and all the criticisms that rained down and last night’s victory Fortitudo Bologna on Trieste for 96-60, the red and white are last in the standings.
In the extra field, however, Varese is as active as ever. In fact, the project resumed yesterday “Basketball, a school of life” which for years has been organized by Varese Basketball, is sponsored by Fip, Coni and the Municipality of Varese and enjoys the precious contribution of FNM and has the aim of promoting basketball in schools in our province.
The female doctor Raffaella Demattè and captain Giancarlo Ferrero in fact, they came face to face with the primary school children Sacred Heart of Besozzo. The special meeting was held in person (in the last year they were only possible electronically) and the January 16, on the occasion of the OJM home match against Trieste, primary school children will attend the match directly at the Enerxenia Arena.
Not only basketball at the center of the event, but also a very sensitive topic such as sustainability. Captain Ferrero, in fact, presented the book to the children “The Wood of the Seven Oaks”, a compelling comic book story written by Antonella Pandini and illustrated by Arianna Climaci.
