The city of Segovia will have 17 sports proposals for this Christmas among which are the traditional Pavo Race and the End of the Year Popular Race in addition to chess, cycling, basketball, table tennis, minivaley, volleyball, badminton, handball and indoor soccer.
Thus, chess lovers will be able to enjoy the XXXVII UNED Chess Christmas Tournament for Seniors, organized by the UNED Chess Club. The competition, which started on December 11 and 12, will continue next weekend at the UNED premises.
The program is also designed for the elderly, so on December 17, from 10:30 to 12:30 in the Pedro Delgado Pavilion, the ‘Physical Activity for the elderly’ will be held.
Cycling will be the protagonist the next day, on Saturday, December 18 from 4:00 p.m., since the ’11 Children’s Cycling Gymkhana ‘will take place in the Plaza del Azoguejo, organized by the 53×13 Club.
On December 22 it is the turn of volleyball. From 5:00 p.m. the ‘Fifth Minivoley Christmas Tournament’ organized by CD Segovoley in collaboration with IMD Segovia will be held at the Mara Martn Pavilion.
And, on December 23, the Pedro Delgado Sports Pavilion will host, from 10:30 to 13:30, the ‘VI NaviBal Handball Party’ organized by the Nava Handball Club.
Christmas Day will once again be special for Segovia lovers of traditions thanks to the celebration, starting at 11.30 am, of the celebrated Turkey Race.
On December 26 at the Enrique Serichol Pavilion the ‘Table Tennis Christmas Tournament will take place. XVIII Memorial Ildefonso Martn Rodrguez ‘. The competition, organized by the Friends of Table Tennis Club, will start at 9.30 am.
That same day the 26th the ‘IV City of Segovia Badminton Christmas Tournament’ will be held at the Agustn Fernndez Pavilion, with hours from 9.30 am for children and from 4 pm for adults, organized by CD Innoporc Eresma Segovia.
From December 27, 2021 to January 4, 2022, the Agustn Fernndez pavilion will host the ‘XXI Memorial Flix Martn El Botas’ of Ftbol Sala. Be in the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m.
Basketball also has a place in the programming. The stage will be the Mara Martn Pavilion, with the proposal ‘Encesta con Futuro Vivo’, in an activity organized by the NGO Amigos de Futuro Vivo in collaboration with CBS.
