Super-G – Bormio: Aleksander Aamodt Kilde imposes Raphael Haaser and Vincent Kriechmayr

And three for Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. After his successes in Beaver Creek and Val Gardena, the Norwegian signed this Wednesday a 3rd in a row in super-G. No one has come close to him on the Bormio track. While the world champion Vincent Kriechmayr seemed on track to win, Kilde, bib 11, stole the best time from him for 85 hundredths! The Austrian finally finished 3rd just behind his unexpected compatriot Raphaël Haaser (+0 “72), bib 26 and author of his first podium at 24 years old.

This is Kilde’s 10th career victory, her fourth this winter and her first on the Stelvio. This great start to the season allows him to take the red bib of leader of the specialty to the detriment of Matthias Mayer, only 13th this Wednesday after having signed two 2nd places and a 4th since the beginning of winter. The Scandinavian has 70 points ahead of the Austrian and 81 over Marco Odermatt (8th at 1.43).
