Slovan’s Bratislava terminates contract with hockey goalie Gudlevsky / Article

The team’s statement states that the decision was made by mutual agreement and that Gudlevsky will continue his career in Northern Europe.

“By mutual agreement, Bratislava’s Slovan and Krister Gudlevsky have broken their contract. He joined the team in February and helped fight in the playoffs. He played a total of 32 games in the Slovan shirt. The next steps in his career are expected in northern Europe.” Slovan reports on Facebook.

Gudlevsky joined Slovan in February and played seven matches in the regular season last season, averaging 91.4% of the throws, and four games in the playoffs.

This season, the Latvian goalkeeper has played 17 games, in which he averaged 2.52 reels and repelled 90.9% of opponents’ shots.

In the 2019/2020 season, Gudlevskis played in the German Premier League (DEL), where he scored an average of 2.65 goals in 25 games and averaged 90.41%. Meanwhile, at the start of the same season, he won three matches in nine matches in the Riga Dinamo unit of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), conceding 3.45 puck on average and repelling 86.3% of the throw-in.

Gudlevskis returned from North America in the 2018/2019 season, scoring an average of 2.37 reels in 31 KHL games and repelling 91.0%. He remained unbeaten in two matches, but in the second part of the season he was competed by the Russian Timur Bilalov.

Back in 2013, after the successful World Cup in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft with the total number 124, Gudlevsky was chosen by Tampa “Lightning”. That year, he began his career in North America and also made his debut in the world’s strongest hockey league. In total, Gudlevsky has played in three NHL Regular Championship games and two Stanley Cup matches.
