CASARANO – Once again the Conad City supermarket in the center of Casarano has been targeted by criminals. In fact, a handful of minutes before 7pm in the commercial establishment between via Amalfi and via Giacomo Leopardi, three individuals broke in, with their faces distorted by masks and hood, armed with guns, presumably with scacciacani.
Once inside the supermarket, and under the threat of weapons, the three bandits carried out the robbery they had planned, taking away from the checkout a loot of 500 euros. From the first testimonies collected among the staff and some people present it seems that the criminals have expressed themselves with a marked local accent.
According to some reports, to cover the escape on foot through the neighboring streets, a shot was also exploded in the air. No injuries were recorded. Immediately after the attack, the police from the station and the operational section of the Nor company of the Casarano company intervened on the spot. Investigations are ongoing. Acquired the videos of some surveillance cameras in the area and inside the supermarket.
