Schick to Dortmund? The Czech attacker could supposedly replace Haaland, but he is not alone

RB Leipzig suffers after the departure of coach Julian Nagelsmann. The team is definitely not fulfilling its potential. Nevertheless, he can rely on at least one constant, which is Christopher Nkunku and his excellent performances. If he continues like this, it will not be easy to keep him in the club.

In the summer, Leipzig lost captain Marcel Sabitzer, defender Dayot Upamecan and coach Julian Nagelsmann. Nevertheless, the Saxon team has a quality lineup of players, which should definitely fight higher than in the middle of the table.

However, it could be even worse if Christopher Nkunku, who is a key figure in the team, was not on the team. His performances are more or less the offensive game of the whole team.

The French offensive universal came to Germany in the summer of 2019 from PSG for 13 million euros. The Transfermarkt now estimates its value at 47 million euros, and it cannot be ruled out that this value will continue to rise.

Leipzig might want a lot more for him. Reason? The player’s statistics speak for themselves – 25 competitive matches, 15 goals, 10 assists.

In the Bundesliga, Nkunku has a balance of 7 + 7, but he excelled in an extremely difficult group of the Champions League. Although he did not make Leipzig progress, no one can blame him in the competition between PSG and Manchester City.

After all, in only six group duels did the Frenchman score 7 goals, he scored a hat-trick against Citizens, but he also pushed through against PSG. He also added 2 assists.

Nkunku is by far the best scorer of the team, as well as the best recorder. Only Angeliňo makes more key passes than he does, no one can match his shooting activity, the same is true in the frequency of foul or dribble fights.

And what makes the Leipzig star stand out? He is strong on the ball, plays with great clarity and has excellent technique, which is reflected in the quality of his dribble, passes, centers, ranged shots or the execution of standard situations.

He knows how to use all his strengths very well, he knows them very well. But he should work on a defensive game in which he does not get so involved. But the question is whether and how much is necessary.

Nkunku is used to playing in virtually all offensive positions, he will play from both wings, he has the role of an offensive midfielder, but he can also handle the tip. In short, it is universal and applicable in many ways.

In December, Manchester United was to become interested in his services, but given the competition in his positions, this is not very likely speculation. However, England would not have to fit him at all costs, but he would be suitable for Bayern or Barcelona, for example, which he would certainly be able to take to a higher level.
