► Sports director Peter Knäbel (55) to BILD: “Our club is in the midst of the greatest upheaval in the club’s history. That is why we decided in early summer to have the work behind the scenes filmed. We want to show our fans and members what changes are happening in their club, how we make decisions, and show nationwide what FC Schalke 04 means for the city and region. The aim is to provide insights that have never existed before in this scope and depth. “
► According to BILD information, the Schalke documentary will be produced in cooperation with the film and television company “Warner Brothers”.
Since the start of the season there have been interviews with players (e.g. Simon Terodde) and those responsible. It is even filmed in the dressing room during team meetings with coach Dimitrios Grammozis (43) and during a game on the bench.
The shooting work in the otherwise so sensitive professional areas is carried out by the club’s own Schalke TV due to Corona (reduced contact).
