After Christmas, the festive atmosphere continues to brighten up the historic center of San Marino, with the “craft & food” markets, the ice skating rink, and initiatives dedicated to families and children. Curious characters, such as the green and grumpy Grinch, roam the Elven Village to surprise and amuse the little ones.
Below is the program for the next few days.
Music is the protagonist of the mini live show in Piazza della Libertà, scheduled for Friday 31 December at 4.30 pm with the young singer Elisa Del Prete. Elisa, a young talent from Rai 1’s “Ti Lascio Una Canzone”, will perform accompanied on the digital piano by Maestro Davide Di Gregorio, conductor and musical arranger who boasts collaborations with great artists, including Paolo Conte and Jovanotti.
New Year’s Day sees the return of the festive “invasion” of Cosplayers, with their splendid costumes inspired by fantastic cartoon characters and the world of steampunk. The appointment with the New Year Cosplay Parade, organized by San Marino Comics, is in Piazzale Cava Antica (Parking 6), Saturday 1st January at 3.30 pm.
On 1 January the appointment with the charity initiative #Marluricaricamore also returns, at 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm at the Orti Borghesi, where children can have fun with bow and arrows, giving their contribution.
ATTRACTIONS:
THE WORK OF ART (Liberty Square) – An installation by Maestro Lunati (set designer, among others for the Dolce & Gabbana shows) in Piazza della Libertà. The representation of the Nativity emerges as if by magic and stands out imposingly in its 3 meters high.
THE MARKETS AND THE GUARDIANS OF THE FAIRY TALE (Via Eugippo 19 huts and Via Donna Felicissima 13 huts) – 32 huts with a wide range of handicrafts, objects and food.
THE ICE TRACK (Cava dei Balestrieri) – The Ice Rink is back in Cava dei Balestrieri for the fun of the whole family. The Pista del Ghiaccio also hosts themed shows

LUMINAIRES AND LUMINOUS INSTALLATIONS – Dedicated projections and lighting make Piazza della Libertà and its palaces magical. The Piazzale Domus Plebis, in front of the Basilica del Santo, hosts a bright comet of over 12 meters.
THE ENCHANTED FOREST (Campo Bruno Reffi) – An enchanted forest inhabited by curious and particular characters, in which families and children can have fun. Campo Bruno Reffi also hosts a cartoon-like nativity scene carved in wood.
IL VILLAGGIO DEGLI ELFI (Ex skating area, adjacent to Campo Bruno Reffi) – The elf houses create a fun setting for engaging active animations dedicated to the little ones.

XMAS CIRCUS (Piazzale Former Station – P2 bus) – A circus tent hosts spectacular events and microshow for children. Shows at 3.00pm, 4.00pm, 5.00pm.
THE ROCKET OF SANTA CLAUS (Canton of the cable car) – The rooftop terrace houses Santa’s supersonic rocket.
THE SLED OF SANTA CLAUS (Galleria Cassa di Risparmio) – The Piazzetta Titano Gallery hosts the sled for the entire period of the event.
#MARLURICARICAMORE (Orti Borghesi) – The Orti Borghesi host spaces for children who, guided by Cupid, can play with a bow and arrow. On 1 January from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, thanks to the help of the I Lunghi Archi Association and the San Marino Archery Federation, they will be able to increase the collection of funds useful for donating to the Pediatric Department of the San Marino State Hospital a device for the treatment of respiratory diseases of the little ones.
ITINERANT SHOWS (Contrade del Centro Storico) – In the historic center the warm atmosphere of the parties is enlivened by the two mascots (soldier and reindeer), by the music of 2 marching bands, by visual and spectacular micro shows.
TRADITION (Via Donna Felicissima) – The tradition is remembered by pyramids of giant Christmas balls (over 4 meters)
THE GUARDIANS OF THE FAIRY TALE (Via Eugippo) – The two snow giants represent the guardians of the fairy tale.
MINI LIVE SHOW WITH ELISA DEL PRETE (Piazza della Libertà) – Friday 31 December at 4.30 pm. Elisa Del Prete sings since the age of 8, she studies jazz singing at the Pesaro conservatory and has participated in numerous singing reviews, won dozens of competitions and was the protagonist of the latest edition of TI Lascio una Canzone di Rai 1, conducted by Antonella Clerici. Accompanying Elisa, on the digital piano, will be Maestro Davide DI Gregorio, music teacher, conductor and musical arranger of many Rai and Mediaset TV programs. It boasts collaborations with the likes of Emma, Elodie, Pooh, Paolo Conte, Jovanotti.
NEW YEAR COSPLAY PARADE (Departure from Piazzale Cava Antica – Parking 6) – By San Marino Comics. Saturday 1st January at 3.30 pm.
TRENINO POLAR EXPRESS – The characteristic rubber train connects the various locations of the Christmas of Wonders to each other as well as making it easy to connect with the various car parks in the historic center.
From 10.00 to 19.00, one run every 30 minutes. Stops: Parking P9 (Piazzale Nazioni Unite), Piazzale Lo Stradone, Parking P2 Bus (Piazzale Ex Stazione), Parking P3 (Kursaal Congress Center), Parking P5 (Piazza Antonio di Paolo Fabbri), Parking P6 (Porta della Fratta). Fares: single ticket € 2.00; get on and off daily € 5.00; children up to 120 cm free.
PANORAMIC CABLE CAR – The cable car that connects Borgo Maggiore with the historic center during the Christmas of Wonders is active at the following times: from 7.45 to 19.30, Saturday 1 January from 13.30 to 19.30.
The event is organized in compliance with health protocols. The use of a mask is mandatory, even outdoors. On means of transport, as well as in indoor places where it is not possible to guarantee the minimum distance of 1.5 m, the FFP2 type mask must be worn. From the age of 12, entry to initiatives that take place indoors, such as Xmas Circus, is only allowed by presenting one of the following documents: San Marino Digital Covid Certificate or equivalent EU Digital COVID Certificate, AntiCovid-19 Vaccination Card; antibody certificate; Certificate of successful vaccination; certified with a negative result in a rapid or molecular antigenic swab test, according to the new procedures established by the Law Decree 22/2021.
