The 20-year-old athlete began his participation by facing the Dominican Chilson Reves, who won with a score of 5-2 in the quarterfinals.In the semifinals, Cubas became stronger and defeated Mexican Diego Macías with a resounding 9-0 .
Already in the final, Ryan Cubas had to try much more in his attempt to take the victory when he was led by the Cuban Alain Moreno. Too bad the result was not what was expected.
