Madrid – The tennis Davis Cup final tournament in Madrid ended on Sunday with a superior triumph for the Russian team over Croatia. Daniil Medvedev (7: 6/9, 6: 2 against Marin Cilic) and Andrej Rublew (6: 4.7: 6/5 against Borna Gojo) won the coveted trophy for the third time after 2004 and 2006 with individual wins in two sets to Russia. Already in the semifinals against Germany Medvedev and Rublew had secured victory for the Russian selection before the doubles.
