Three boys from Amiata were in trouble: according to the carabinieri, the drug was ready for sale
CASTEL DEL PIANO. They drove around with, in the car, drugs worth 1,000 euros, packaged in doses, and a baseball bat. And when they were stopped by the carabinieri, they began to get nervous. On the other hand, the strong smell of “smoke” coming from the cockpit left little room for doubt about the nature of what they themselves were smoking.
Three young Italians ended up in trouble, surprised by the carabinieri of the Arcidosso lieutenancy during a patrol service aimed at the prevention and repression of drug offenses. The three, all resident in the area, were reported to the Grosseto Public Prosecutor’s Office because they were held responsible for the possession of drugs and the illegal port of objects capable of offending.
The events occurred on the evening of Thursday 2 December, when the carabinieri of the Arcidosso lieutenancy noticed a car with three people on board in a public parking lot in Castel Del Piano.
Approaching the car window to identify the occupants, the military immediately noticed a peculiar smell, coupled with the fact that the occupants of the car began to get nervous.
All this made the carabinieri insist to see clearly and to deepen the control. In fact, they initiated a thorough personal search of the three subjects and the vehicle, from which narcotic substance emerged. These are specifically some pieces of hashish, whose total weight is equal to 114 grams. The substance was divided into two blocks wrapped in cellophane, as well as a few smaller, loose pieces.
In addition to the drug, the military found a baseball bat.
The drug found was seized for laboratory investigations, while for the three the complaint was made to the Public Prosecutor of Grosseto, for possession of a narcotic substance, which as it was packaged, appeared to be absolutely not intended for personal use and, if placed on the illicit market, it would have yielded more than 1,000 euros.
All with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the crime in three people gathered together and of having subsequently brought an object suitable for the offense.
The operation carried out by the Carabinieri is part of the institutional activities for the prevention and repression of the trafficking and dealing of drugs in general, and in particular of the so-called soft drugs, particularly sought after by the youngest. The latter, in fact, represent for the pushers, the privileged basin where to draw new customers, attracted also by the most accessible costs.
