Romelu Lukaku has passed Luc Nilis as Belgian club top scorer in Europe | European football

Until yesterday, Lukaku and Nilis shared the lead in European club statistics. Luc Nilis scored 38 for RSC Anderlecht (26) and PSV Eindhoven (11), with an Intertoto goal for Aston Villa in the 1980s and 1990s.

In his 70th European game, Lukaku scored in the 62nd minute to make it 2-2 for Chelsea in the Champions League match against Zenit St Petersburg. It was his 19th goal in the Champions League (in 37 matches). In the Europa League (33 matches), he scored 20.

“Big Rom”, also the all-time top scorer of the Red Devils with 68 goals, scored his European goals for RSC Anderlecht (8), Everton (8), Manchester United (7), Inter Milan (13) and Chelsea (3).

Nilis divided his goals between Champions League (10), European Cup I (8), European Cup II (6), UEFA Cup (13) and Intertoto Cup (1).
