Retirement for Kyle Seager

Third baseman Kyle Seager announced his retirement from professional baseball on Wednesday, ending an 11-year major league career.

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager’s older brother wore only one team, the Seattle Mariners. He has 242 home runs and 807 RBIs in 1,480 games, also hitting 1,395 hits.

“Thank you to all my family, friends and supporters for following me along my journey. It has been a wonderful trip, but I am very excited for the next chapter of my life, ”he responded through his wife’s Twitter account.

This year, 34-year-old Kyle Seager has maintained a .212 batting average but set a personal high with 35 long balls and scored 101 points. He helped Seattle amass 90 wins and finish second in the Western Division of the AHL.
