Reggie makes PG forget

– In the absence of Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers still found a candidate for the role of clutch player. As an overtime loomed against the Magic after a 3-point basket from Cole Anthony, Reggie Jackson came out of his box to take a shoot 2.2 seconds from the end. Jackson registered 9 of his 25 points of the evening in the last 3 minutes, so this stepback which allows the Californians to celebrate a third consecutive victory.

Thybulle extinguished Curry!

– Everyone was focused on the possibility that Stephen Curry scores 10 3-point baskets to become the most prolific 3-point shooter in NBA history. Except that there was also a game to play against the Sixers and the prospect of the record quickly became secondary. Philadelphia and Matisse Thybulle, who countered him twice, had a bad evening for Curry and the Warriors, beaten because they were extinct in the 4th quarter.

Stephen Curry shot 3/14 on 3 points for 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The Warriors point guard was stalked for most of the game by Thybulle, who became the first player in NBA history to block more than one 3-point shot from the King of Discipline in a single game.

Joel Embiid, who really didn’t want Curry celebrating in Philadelphia, landed 26 points and 9 rebounds with a perfect (11/11) on the line.

Utah does not stop anymore

– The Jazz conquered their 7th victory in a row in Washington last night, having put in a good half-time before practicing their game so lethal for the opposition at the moment. Led by one point at the break by Bradley Beal (21 pts) and his comrades, Utah activated tornado mode after the break with a 31-18 then a 42-29 to knock out the Wizards.

Rudy Gobert recorded his union double-double (20 pts, 11 rebounds), well supported out of the bench by Hassan Whiteside (18 pts, 14 rebounds). Donovan Mitchell was also angry out of the locker room to put 28 points at 50%.

Joel ayayi came into play for 3 minutes at the end of the game with 1 assist and no shot attempted.

Cleveland explodes Sacramento, Chicago too plucked

– The Cavs have every intention of continuing to be one of the funniest teams to watch right now. Cleveland boned Sacramento with an offensive orgy in the first half (81 pts!), Before stepping down and putting in only 36 afterwards. All this was still enough to dispose of the Kings, unable to brake Evan Mobley (15 pts, 15 rbds), Darius Garland (16 pts, 13 pds), Jarrett Allen (19 pts, 11 rebounds) or even Isaac Okoro (20 pts).

It’s the third straight win for the Cavs, fifth in the Eastern Conference with just three wins less than Brooklyn.

– Decimated by the Covid protocol, the Bulls have logically lost in Miami. Shortly before the match, Come on Dosunmu and the latest recruit Stanley Johnson joined five of their comrades in solitary confinement. The Heat, worn by Duncan Robinson (26 pts), Kyle Lowry (16 pts, 14 pds) et Dewayne Dedmon (20 pts, 12 rbds), overcame the efforts of Zach LaVine (33 pts at 7/11 at 3 pts) to keep his 4th place and come back to a victory for Chicago.

Blazing Jokic for a rematch

– Dried by the Spurs Thursday, the Nuggets took a resounding revenge on Saturday. Obviously, Nikola Jokic, who had already survived despite the defeat 48 hours earlier, brought out a mammoth match to avoid further disappointment. The reigning MVP pointed Denver in the right direction with 35 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Joker still regaled with a few passes from elsewhere.

The Nuggets had a small 3-point festival (20/43) with a nice contribution from Markus Howard (21 pts with 6 award-winning baskets) and Bones Hyland (16 pts) out of the bench.

– The Rockets failed to move forward after the end of their strong winning streak. Houston bowed sharply in Memphis, pounded by Dillon Brooks (25 pts) et Desmond Bane (19 pts), which helped give the Grizzlies up to 21 points. The Texans fought well after the break but the gap was too big for Christian Wood (22 pts, 11 rebounds) and his teammates make a successful comeback.

Killian Tillie was very much to his advantage over the 17 minutes he was able to play with Memphis. The French scored 12 points, took 3 rebounds and gave 2 assists by shooting 3/5 at 3 points.
