The 14-year-old tennis player, Rafael Cabrera, made history in the table tennis by conquering this Sunday the national tournament superior, after beating Abite Tejeda in the final.
The talented boy reached the final after beating Ramón Vila 3-0 in the semi-fund round and in the final he had Tejeda by three games to one.
“It has been a pleasure to be able to participate in a tournament in my country,” the boy told Diario Libre. “After so many efforts and events in France, being back and winning the top category fills me with satisfaction.”
Cabrera has great lauros in the table tennis for his young age. He is a Latin American champion and plays in France for the Cergy Pontoise club, which is the European League champion.

His father, Pedro Cabrera, who witnessed his son’s feat, showed his delight at the triumph. “I am highly satisfied. It is a result of your effort. And that’s interesting, ”said Cabrera Sr.
