“My discussions with François Legault have caused a lot of ink to flow,” remarked the parliamentary leader of Quebec solidaire, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, taking stock of the session which ends at the National Assembly.

“What I have seen in recent weeks is a Prime Minister who loses control when Québec solidaire confronts him with his contradictions,” he repeated.

Last hot topic at the heart of heated discussions at the Blue Salon: the possible return of professional baseball to Montreal.

Stung, the Prime Minister accused Mr. Nadeau-Dubois of being unworthy of the function of party leader because of his level of language. “Me, my ‘steamé’, in baseball, I like it all-dressed ketchup, but no public money, ”Mr. Nadeau-Dubois had just ironed, denouncing that the government plans to financially support the construction of a new stadium.

Listen to the meeting of political analysts Marc-André Leclerc and Elsie Lefebvre on QUB radio:

“When a government considers committing tens, potentially hundreds of millions of dollars to a private project promoted by a billionaire who does tax evasion, I think it is in the public interest to question the Prime Minister there above, ”Mr. Nadeau-Dubois defended.

According to him, the baseball file “is a symbol of what is wrong with François Legault’s vision for Quebec”.

“François Legault introduced himself to Quebecers saying: ‘I am close to the world. Well, the world, these hundreds of millions, I think it prefers that they be invested in housing, in public transport, in our CHSLDs, in our childcare centers, in our public services ”, explained the deputy of Gouin.

The Latraverse-Dumont meeting, with Emmanuelle Latraverse, Mario Dumont and Vincent Dessureault:

“I think that we disturb François Legault because our priorities are his weaknesses,” he added.

A few weeks before a new election year, the challenge remains significant for Quebec solidaire, recognizes Mr. Nadeau-Dubois, whose party is keen to position itself as “the real alternative” to the Coalition Avenir Quebec.

“I think we are the most effective opposition, he argued, but [il y a] very far from the cup to the lips for 2022. There is still a lot of work to be done. “
