‘Positive news from Eindhoven: PSV infirmary is slowly emptying’

Good news for PSV. The overcrowded infirmary seems to be emptying slowly but surely. Jordan Teze and Noni Madueke have now resumed team training, while Cody Gakpo is “on the way back”.

Report it Eindhovens Dagblad on Football International. PSV played matches in recent weeks in which trainer Roger Schmidt only had fifteen or sixteen players at his disposal. That is not enough to be able to compete for the title until the end of the season, the coach said earlier. It now seems that the infirmary of the Eindhoven residents is slowly but surely starting to empty.

Teze and Madueke have now resumed group training. This gives Schmidt more choice for this weekend’s match against FC Utrecht. Madueke initially seems an option for the bank, Teze would be ready for a basic place. The defender suffered a muscle injury against Fortuna Sittard three weeks ago. In addition to Teze, Philipp Max also seems ready for a base place after a corona infection, although the German was excellently replaced by Mauro Júnior.

PSV is not making any statements about Cody Gakpo yet, but the attacker is on his way back. He trained individually two weeks ago and is on track to rejoin the group this weekend. In the coming days, it will be examined whether this is feasible.
