PMU – Arrival of the quinté on Wednesday 1 December in Deauville: Nepalese find their day

Arrival of the quinté: 15 – 1 – 10 – 2 – 14

The second quinté in a row disputed on the fiber-sand track of Deauville (Calvados) pitted sixteen competitors, aged 3 to 7, against each other, after the forfeit of Haut Konnor (n ° 16). Contested over the distance of 1,900 m, this big handicap gave pride of place to young horses with the victory of Nepalese (n ° 15), 3 years old, who remained on two poor performances at this level.

The resident of Fabrice Chappet galloped behind the organizers before taking the best part of the straight line and resisting the good end of the race. Chasselay (n ° 1). He thus sets the record straight by winning fairly surely: “He’s a colt with the means,” said his partner Stéphane Pasquier at the microphone of Equidia. He deserved to win such a prize. I had planned to wait before the event, but the race started very slowly. He reacted very well when I asked him to speed up. “

The top weight of the event, Chasselay (n ° 1) also erased his eighth place on November 4 on the course concerned. This 7-year-old gelding has rebuilt a lot of ground inside without however contesting the superiority of the winner. It does not, however, demerit by awarding itself a meritorious second place.

Failing with a nose for the first runner-up, Bosioh (n ° 10) confirms his good period of form for his return to the big handicaps. Patiently mounted, he drew a good end of the race and deserves to be followed in this style of tournament, especially this winter at Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Fourth arrival, Khochencko (n ° 2) once again behaved remarkably. With n ° 6 on the rope, he stood in good order. He accelerated perfectly and didn’t ease off in the end. This horse, who was participating in his twentieth big handicap, proves again that he has a third quinté in his legs.

Super Super Sonic (n ° 14) completes the arrival of the quinté. The new recruit of Anastasia Wattel found himself in eighth or ninth position and put a good boost in the final phase losing little for a better allocation.

Kévin Romain indicated the quartet in the disorder in six horses.
