Peru goes for the gold in tennis doubles of the Junior Pan American Games: When and at what time will the final be played?

The triumphs do not stop coming from Colombia. This Thursday, the Peruvian tennis delegation managed to qualify for the two tennis finals in the doubles format in the Cali-Valle Junior Pan American Games.

The first classified were the pair of Gonzalo Bueno and Ignacio Buse, who after defeating their counterparts from Paraguay, Adolfo Vallejo and Martín Vergara by 4-6 6-4 10-5, made sure to win a medal in the contest.

Gonzalo Bueno also reached the singles semifinals after defeating Argentine representative Lautaro Midon 6-4 6-3. However, just when Gonzalo was beating his compatriot Christopher Li 3-2 in the semifinal match, Li had to withdraw from the court after presenting discomfort in his right arm. If nothing is serious, Li will be able to play the mixed doubles final today and Gonzalo will play the semifinal tomorrow in the singles category.

On the female side, the duo made up of Daianne Hayashida and Lucciana Pérez He got to the final of the tournament after proving to be superior to the representatives of Brazil, Ana Candiotto and Juliana Munhoz by beating them 6-0 7-6 (5).

Both national tennis players also managed to reach the semifinal in singles. Unfortunately, Pérez fell 6-4 6-0 against Paraguayan Leyla Benitez and the same happened with Hayashida, who lost 6-1 6-4 against Luciana Moyano of Argentina. Therefore, tomorrow both partners will have to face each other to get the bronze medal in singles, thus ensuring one more medal for the country.

FEMALE DOUBLE FINAL

The women’s doubles final is scheduled for this Friday, December 3 at 12:45 pm Against the delegation of Mexico, the final of the tournament will take place at the Club Campestre de Cali Canchas Tenis. We will be represented by Daianne Hayashida and Lucciana Pérez

PERU IN JUNIOR PANAMERICANS

The Peruvian delegation arrived in Cali for the important international event, with a total of 160 qualified young athletes. The novel event started on November 25 and is scheduled to end the December 5th.

The judoka Noemí Huayhuameza and the skater Angelo Caro, were the standard bearers of the national team that is also made up of athletes, coaches and delegates who participate for the first time in these Games, the first in history for adolescents and young people between 14 and 22 years old.
