New judo graduations at TV Biebesheim

In TV Biebesheim there are new belt colors on the judo mat.

Lilly, Laura, Liah, Sophie, Ole, Tristan and Micha, along with the other judoka of the TVB, took the chance and have been training judo continuously since the summer. In the last few weeks we have been working towards the belt test on December 4th, 2021. On the last Saturday there was a preparatory workshop followed by the belt test in the school gym. All judoka, trainers, examiners and spectators present were tested negative for Corona to ensure a positive memory of the exam.

The two examiners Gerald Fuchs and Reiner Vettermann as well as the audience were excited to see what could be worked out in the short but intensive preparation time. Everyone kept their fingers crossed and hoped nothing could go wrong.

After the typical Judo greeting, the drop exercises began. Accompanied by a full teeing off, everyone demonstrated the importance of learning to fall in our training. The throws of the hip and foot throws convinced the examiners just as much as the handholds and exemptions shown afterwards. In the Randori (practice fight) the 7 candidates presented both their will to win and that they can also apply the techniques they have learned in one-on-one combat.

Micha’s brown belt test program, who was the last candidate to take the test, also included a kata consisting of 18 litters.

All examinees were able to convince the examiners and spectators of their abilities and successfully complete the examination.

Lilly, Liah, Tristan and Ole now wear the white and yellow belt (8th kyu).

Laura and Sophie are now wearing the yellow belt (7th Kyu).

Micha is now wearing the brown belt (1st Kyu).

Special thanks go to the patient training partners who have repeatedly sacrificed their time and tirelessly got up after each throw.

See you soon on the mat
