Nadeo Argawinata became Indonesia’s hero when he saved a penalty in the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals. What was Nadeo’s childhood like until he became what he is today?

Nadeo saved Indonesia Indonesia against Singapore in the 2020 AFF Cup semifinal second leg match at the Singapore National Stadium Saturday (25/12/2021). Nadeo Argawinata’s mother, Ninuk Indahsari, told of her son’s struggles and love for football. Before becoming the goalkeeper he is today, Nadeo studied football at SSB Macan Putih.

Even little Nadeo is very disciplined and has a strong will when it comes to practicing soccer. Often when practicing at SSB, Nadeo is often moody and fill when it’s late. That’s why he always comes 30 minutes or 1 hour before practice starts.

“Since childhood my son has always had discipline and a strong will to practice soccer, especially if he comes late. That’s why he always comes early and trains. It started when he was 9 or 12 years old,” said Ninuk. Monday (12/27/2021).

His career began to skyrocket when he was called up to the U-19 National Team in 2015. Then in 2019 he joined the Borneo FC team and his career continued to climb when Bali United proposed to him.

For Ninuk, Nadeo is always happy when he plays football. Not only playing football, Nadeo has a regular schedule, one of which is the Koran. Nadeo since childhood knows when to divide his time between playing, studying, football. and rest.

“He has an extraordinary passion and love for football which is very big, maybe that’s what made him called by the AFF, apart from his ability to play football, he can be a man and a player who is firmly responsible and disciplined,” added Ninuk.

Before detikSport said goodbye to Nadeo’s residence on Jln. Raya Tawang, Wates District, Kediri Regency. Nadeo’s mother left a message and hope for her only son and his teammates.

“I hope to keep the spirit, bring Indonesia’s good name to victory, maintain health and be united, always make Indonesian parents and people proud. Lastly, my son, don’t be arrogant, stay humble, because arrogance will bring you down,” concluded Ninuk.
