Miren Yan Sola, 13, finishes fifth in the Spanish Judo School Championship

Five judokas from Anaitasuna participated this weekend in this children’s tournament held in Madrid

The children’s judoka Miren Yan Sola, 13 years old, finished the Spanish School Judo Championship in fifth position, held last weekend in Madrid. In his first year in the children’s category, he showed a great capacity for improvement, since he started the tournament, in the -40kg category, losing his first fight. However, he won the next two, to stand in the fight for the bronze medal. In that match, she was overtaken by a fighter from Madrid, for which she was fifth in the final classification.

This very young judoka went to the Spanish capital with her companions Carla Iribarren (also 13 years old), Asier Pajares, David Irisarri and Marisa Marcos (all of them 14 years old), which were part of the selection that competed for Navarra. For all of them, it was their first championship in Spain.

Besides of Miren Yan Sola’s fifth place, Asier Pajares finished in seventh place (-42 kg), David Irisarri took ninth place and Marisa Marcos finished thirteenth. These results corroborate that the SCDR Anaitasuna quarry has a lot of quality and comes with great strength. In addition to having the illusion of continuing to fight to continue to be among the best national judokas.

With the performance of the entire Navarrese delegation, the Autonomous Community was placed in the third position of the tournament by autonomous communities.
