I know that many agents are afraid that their players will be lured away. Too often players are viewed as products, but they’re just heart and soul people. The chemistry between the advisor and the player has to be right. You have to respond to them. If the players can see that you’re being honest and aren’t putting honey around their mouths, that’s better. I learned a lot from my players. I’ve made a big transfer almost every year for the past 25 years. What I learn from one, I take with me to the other. So I got better and better. Back then at Juventus I said to Ibra in no uncertain terms: “Boy, look at Pavel Nedved, he’s much better than you. You have to train more.” He didn’t believe it and just said: “Yes, yes, Nedved .
