Landed at PSG in the very last hours of the summer 2020 transfer window, Rafinha could leave Paris as soon as the transfer window opens (from January 1 to 31). This Wednesday, journalist Fabrizio Romano announces that the 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder is likely to sign up on loan until the end of the season at Real Sociedad. Information that we are able to confirm.
Discussions between Paris and Real Sociedad are well advanced, but there are still details to be worked out to finalize the transaction. Within the capital club, it is explained that for a possible purchase option, again the two clubs are in talks.
Rafinha is under contract with PSG until June 2023. It does not fit into the plans of Mauricio Pochettino who has only used it five times this season (three starts). The former Barcelona player is not in the group that made the trip to Lorient on Wednesday. His last appearance dates back to October 15 against Angers (2-1).
If the talks were to be successful with Real Sociedad, Rafinha would know his third club in La Liga after FC Barcelona and Celta Vigo.
