This week, Olympic champion Pino posted photos of her bruises on her face on social media, which made headlines in France.
She gave a press conference and accused her teammate and judo coach Alan Schmidt of assaulting her.
Bino is puzzled that the Bobigny court will not allow a lawsuit against him.
“I thought he was dead and managed to escape with the neighbors, who immediately called the police. I had several injuries, including a broken nose and a 10-day temporary break from work, ”Pino wrote in a tweet.
Schmidt has been training Pinot Noir for four years and told BFMTV that they have been “in a very complicated relationship” for two years.
“A lot of people know about this … it’s difficult to determine when we are together or when not, it often breaks up and comes back,” he added.
In an interview with CNN on Friday, Madid said he was “shocked” by the court’s decision.
“I was shocked by the decision made in the first instance because, to a certain extent, the evidence was collected for the conviction,” added Madid.
Schmidt appeared on CNN affiliate BFMTV on Friday with bruises on her face, rebutting Pino’s allegations and accusing her of lying.
“There were no punches, no kicks,” he said. “She said she didn’t put her hand on me, which means I hit her, she didn’t put her hand on me, are you serious?”
However, at Pinot’s press conference, she said she didn’t even try to defend herself and tried to calm him down.
“I tried to stop him, I said, ‘Alan, stop, stop.’ I didn’t even defend myself, I tried to calm him down and stop him ”.
Noir’s attorney, Madid, said that in court, Schmidt “firmly” insisted on “a point of view more related to the personality of my client, the plaintiff, than to the conditions under which his story occurred.”
Madid added that he plans to refocus the court debates when he hears appeals in the coming months.
Schmidt’s attorney, Malik Behloul, commented on BFMTV this week that it is impossible to “judge who hit whom, (and) suspect that it would be beneficial to the defendant, so he must be released.”
CNN was unable to reach Behloul for comment.
According to BFMTV, the Bobigny court released Schmidt for lack of sufficient evidence.
Bobigny prosecutor Eric Matteis told CNN that the prosecutor also appealed the court’s decision if the French legal system allowed it.
“The defense supported the acquittal, the prosecution requested a conviction, the court ruled that the defense won and we are appealing,” Matthias wrote in a tweet.
On social media, Pinot supporters expressed “sadness” and “anger” over the decision to free Schmidt.
In recent years, French violence against women has come to the fore in public debates, and most of the media attention has focused on dozens of women murdered by their partners each year.
According to data from the Interior Ministry, security forces reported 159,400 victims of domestic violence committed by partners (or ex-partners) in 2020, an annual increase of 10%, including 139,200 women.

Pino wrote in another tweet: “What is the value of your slanderous defense of my injuries and the blood scattered on the floor of my apartment? What’s left I can die?”.
