There is currently nothing going on around Ajax and Dean Henderson. The Manchester United goalkeeper was associated with a rental transfer to Amsterdam by various English media on Tuesday.
Multiple well-informed sources say Henderson to Ajax is not an issue at the moment. The goalkeeper is David De Gea’s permanent stand-in at Manchester United, but it remains to be seen whether manager Ralf Rangnick will let him leave.
And if Ajax has the option to take over Henderson on a rental basis, the club will have to take over part of his hefty salary: Henderson earns around 140,000 euros per week in Manchester.
Onana
There is a huge chance that Ajax will lose a keeper this summer. Andre Onana will not renew and will most likely leave for Internazionale on a free transfer. Remko Pasveer (38) is doing an excellent job as a replacement, but is in the autumn of his career. The season is already over for Maarten Stekelenburg (39) and it is unclear what his plans are for after this season. Behind Pasveer, next to Onana, is the young Jay Gorter.
