Karl Lauterbach comments on Kimmich’s corona disease

After it became known that Bayern professional Joshua Kimmich would be absent for the rest of the year due to the consequences of a corona infection, the new Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach has now spoken out.

Bayern professional Joshua Kimmich will miss the games against Mainz 05, VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg. The 26-year-old has to struggle with lung problems – “slight infiltrations in the lungs” – after a corona illness. Karl Lauterbach responded to Kimmich’s illness via Twitter.

“I wish Joshua Kimmich a quick and complete recovery,” wrote the SPD politician to an article in “Spiegel” about the health consequences of Kimmich’s corona disease. “Unfortunately, it is still too little known that young athletic people also have longer-lasting, sometimes chronic courses. We also have to communicate that to the clubs. “

The Bayern star is unlikely to have long-term consequences. “I’m not worried at all because the infiltration is not that dramatic,” said coach Julian Nagelsmann about Kimmich.
