It’s no secret that former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen and former champion Jon Jones are not in much love. The “American gangster” repeatedly criticized Jones for his alcohol and drug escapades, which he had many opportunities during Jones’ career. Most recently, when a former lightweight champion and one of the best fighters in a hotel room attacked his longtime fiancée and she called the police.
But now the cards have been turned over, and Sonnen is also in trouble with the law. He beat up 5 people at a hotel in Las Vegas this week when he allegedly defended his wife. The warrior himself did not comment on the incident, but Jones finally felt the opportunity to finally return his own medicine to his rival, and he criticized Sonnen’s actions loudly, while wishing a speedy recovery to the “victims” of his rampage.
But for some of Jones’ colleagues, this attempt to pick up Sonnen did not meet with understanding. One of them was New Zealand lightweight fighter Dan Hooker, who did not hesitate and started a twitter shootout:

Jones certainly felt the attack and sought to counter Hooker’s recent octagon losses: “You screwed up every opportunity you had to make a name for yourself and approach your friend Izzy. However, the New Zealand fighter playfully averted the American’s “counterattack” and hit him again with another tough twitter post:
“I wrote this because of your indecent attempt to draw attention to Chael Sonnen’s problem. He was detained while defending his wife, you were detained for attacking yours (you mix apples and pears). “
Hooker kept a funny but true blow of grace when he gave Jones good advice over gold:
“Life gadget: If you don’t beat your wife, family reunions become a lot more fun. Happy and merry, you scumbag. “
It’s hard to say if this is the end of the Twitter battle, or if Jon will return with any further reaction, but it doesn’t look like he could turn the brutal Twitter beating from “Hangman” any more.
