Hwasun High School and Jeonnam High School of Science and Technology badminton teams showed off their side as a strong team by sweeping one gold medal, two silver medals, and two bronze medals at the ‘2021 Hwasun Yongdaebae National High School Badminton Championships’.

Hwasun High School and Jeonnam High School of Technology and Science were held at the Hwasun Hanium Culture and Sports Center from the 9th to the 22nd, and Da-yeon Jeong and Yeo-jin Gong won a gold medal in the women’s high school individual doubles, a silver medal in the team event, Da-yeon Jeong took a bronze medal in the individual singles, and the men’s high school individual singles. In the women’s high school individual singles, Da-yeon Jeong, who played an active part in the doubles, entered the singles and advanced to the semi-finals with great skill that did not give up even a single set. However, they met again Seojin Lee (Chungju Girls’ High School) and had a fierce match, but unfortunately lost with a set score of 2-0 and ended up with a bronze medal.

In the men’s singles event, Min-Je Jeong (2 years) and Seong-Joo Park (1 year) competed and won 1 silver and 1 bronze. Park Seong-ju met and lost to Choi Pyung-gang (Maewon High School) in the semifinals and won the bronze medal, and Jeong Min-je sharpened his revenge in the final, but unfortunately lost and took the silver medal.
