In the 3rd division, Hallesche FC is in danger of relegation. Now a new trainer should fix it. André Meyer comes from the regional league.
The relegation-threatened third division football club Hallescher FC has signed André Meyer as a new coach. As the club announced on Monday, the 37-year-old will initially receive a contract valid until June 2023. Meyer, who last worked for the regional league team Berliner AK, succeeds Florian Schnorrenberg at HFC.
“We have hired a coach who has all the prerequisites for successful work and who has developed step by step,” said sporting director Ralf Minge: “For him, being accepted by the HFC is the logical consequence of gaining a foothold in professional football and together with our team to begin a new era. “
Hallesche FC, which won the GDR championship in 1952, are currently in 14th place with 22 points after 20 games.
