Guadarrama hosts the Christmas clinic “Women and Badminton”, with the coach Beatriz Corrales

The municipal sports center of Guadarrama Juan Antonio Cuadrillero will host the VIII Christmas Clinic “Women and Badminton”, organized by the Caser Clear Badminton Club, on Tuesday, December 28, and tomorrow, Wednesday, December 29.

Two intensive sessions to enjoy this annual event in which some of the best coaches in this sport participate. Among them, Beatriz Corrales that, in addition to being a level I coach, has 14 international titles in her record and is ranked 84th in the BWF world ranking in women’s singles and 183 in women’s doubles, and is also the current champion of Spain in women’s doubles in 2021.

Beatriz Corrales will be accompanied in these courses by Adrián Corrales, level III coach, member of the Technical Staff of the Spanish Badminton Federation and champion in men’s doubles and runner-up of the Community of Madrid in individual, on several occasions between 2014 and 2021. A They are also joined by Bernardo Galmés, trainer with a level II degree and responsible technician of CB Caser Clear Madrid.

As in previous editions, the clinic will have a main theme, aimed at “common practical aspects and differences between the individual and the female double” which, in an intensive format from 10:00 to 14:00, will offer specific training to the participants.

Women and Sports

This event is organized by the Caser Clear Madrid Badminton Club thanks to the support of the “Women and Sport” program of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), with the collaboration of the Spanish Badminton Federation (FESBA), the Madrilenian Badminton Federation and the Guadarrama City Council, through the Sports Department.

In this 2021 edition, it will be necessary to comply with the regulations of the Covid-19 protocol, so there have only been 36 places available for players, 12 years of age and older and with a valid National License for the 2021 season, and 10 coaches.

Within the “Women and Badminton” Program, the Spanish Federation will grant participants scholarships for transportation aid, both for female athletes and trainers who attend this clinic, since the participants arrive from different parts of Spain.

An intensive learning initiative that has been taking place from 2014, during Christmas, to facilitate the attendance of the youngest athletes.
