Green Bay and Indianapolis win in NFL, against Cleveland and Arizona

The Green Bay Packers, who are, with the Dallas Cowboys, one of the two teams already qualified for the play-offs, won against the Cleveland Browns (24-22), Saturday in the advanced game of the 16th day of the regular season of NFL. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, becoming TD’s record holder for a Packers QB (445) ahead of legendary Brett Favre’s 442 assists.

The Packers’ defense has martyred Baker Mayfield, the Cleveland quarterback, sacking it five times and especially intercepting it four times. The first three interceptions in the first period were all followed by touchdowns for Green Bay. The fourth came with 50 seconds remaining, when Cleveland, down 24-22, could still hope to win.

Arizona is still not in the play-offs

For three days, the Arizona Cardinals have been able to qualify for the play-offs. They only need a victory for that. But, after being beaten by the LA Rams and Detroit, the Cardinals lost this time at home against the Indianapolis Colts (22-16). They must therefore still be patient, before winning one of the tickets for the final stages.

Jonathan Taylor, the Colts’ running back, ran 108 yards. His stats this season balance perfectly with those of his team. Nine times he’s passed the 100-yard mark, and each time Indianapolis has won. However, the six games where he ran under 100 yards were all lost by the Colts.
