Goodbye fix! Demir no longer trains at Barcelona – football

Yusuf Demir is about to say goodbye to FC Barcelona. The ÖFB legionnaire was absent from the Catalans’ training start on Tuesday.

After a short Christmas break, coach Xavi Hernandez brought the Barca kickers back to the training field on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. The short preparation for the spring season beginning on January 2nd started.

However, Demir was no longer part of the party. According to the club, the 18-year-old Rapid loan player was absent “to clarify his future”. Everything points to a termination of the loan from Rapid Wien in January. Barca also stated that Demir will no longer train with the first team.

Loan cancellation is imminent

The Austrian team player was actually loaned out by the Hütteldorfer for one season. Barca paid half a million euros on loan and also agreed a purchase option of ten million euros. This would take effect in the tenth game – Demir’s next appearance in the “Blaugrana” dress. The financially troubled club does not want to let it get that far. Demir will therefore not play another game at Barca.

Negotiations are now under way. A termination of the loan is conceivable, Demir could return to Rapid, finish the season with the Green-Whites. In addition, three German Bundesliga teams have been associated with the ÖFB talent for weeks: Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen. BVB should be in pole position.
