Golf: the French Pauline Roussin-Bouchard will play well on the LPGA Tour next year

French golfer Pauline Roussin-Bouchard placed second in the Cards final of the LPGA, the US women’s premier division. With this result, the player who trains near Montpellier will integrate what is done best in the world among women.

What a year for “PRB”! The Frenchwoman will inevitably remember this 2021 season: transition to the professionals, first victory on the European circuit in her second tournament, first participation in Major … and obtaining a card to play on the LPGA in 2022.

The one who trains at the Montpellier Massane golf course, under the orders of Alain Alberti, granted herself this right by finishing in second place in the LPGA Cards, Sunday evening in Alabama, she who led by five strokes before this last round.

A hole in a Saturday

The Frenchwoman has shown that she will surely be counted on in the years to come, dominating seven out of eight laps, signing no cards below 70 the whole time.

Better Roussin-Bouchard even paid the luxury of entering a hole in one, in his game on Saturday. In the end, she only gave up on the last day, signing a card in the par (72) to finish at -32, one stroke from the winner of the Cards, the Korean Na Rin An (-33).

“PRB” will not be the only one to integrate the crème de la crème of world women’s golf, since Agathe Laisné has also earned this right. With a score of -9, the Habs finished in 22nd place, enough to figure in the first 45 girls who will play on the LPGA.
