First home bankruptcy of the season for Cologne – Augsburg celebrates

It took 15 game days, now it has happened: 1. FC Köln have suffered their first home defeat of the season – 0: 2 against FC Augsburg, who have been without a win in 13 away games.

Despite major staff concerns, the FC Augsburg an important win for staying in the league Bundesliga fought for. Coach’s team Markus Weinzierl won at 1. With 16 points Augsburg jumped to 14th place for the time being and inflicted the first home defeat of the current season on Cologne.

Sebastian Andersson (2nd) missed the best opportunity right from the start for Cologne, which fell significantly after a good initial phase. Cologne missed a dream start

The Swede Andersson almost gave FC a dream start, but his header from a few meters flew just past. Augsburg did not hide either. Hahn (3rd) shot from the edge of the penalty area powerfully at the Cologne goal, substitute keeper Marvin Schwänke, who was injured Timo Horn represented, parried the ball worth watching.

In front of 15,000 spectators, the FC continued to try to increase the pressure. Augsburg remained stubborn and vicious in the duels. So there was hardly any flow of the game, which played into the cards of the FCA. Hahn finally struck coldly.
