Manchester United must meet Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Liverpool met easy opponents from the lower divisions.
The draw for the third round of the FA Cup was carried out on Tuesday (7/12/2021) early morning WIB. 64 teams will compete in 32 matches in this round.
The results of the draw brought together Manchester United’s fellow Premier League team, namely Aston Villa. The Red Devils will be the masters in the match later.
It’s interesting to see Steven Gerrard, who is now gushing Aston Villa, will visit Old Trafford. Gerrard when playing with Liverpool was often involved in a hot match with Manchester in a match titled the North-West Derby.

Meanwhile, other The Big Six teams got relatively lighter opponents in this third round. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur face opponents from lower divisions.
Liverpool will host League One team, Shrewsbury Town, at Anfield. Chelsea meet National League side Chesterfield at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham challenged promoted League One team, Moracambe at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Meanwhile, Manchester City and Arsenal must travel to the opponent’s headquarters in the fourth round. Man City away to The County Ground to face League Two team, Swindon Town. For the Gunners, they will visit the Championship Division team.
The third round of the FA Cup will be held on 7-10 January 2022.
