EXCITING: GUILLERMO VILAS’S FOUR CHILDREN AT THE MONTECARLO COUNTRY CLUB

EL MONTECARLO COUNTRY CLUB It is one of the legendary venues in the history of tennis. The Monte Carlo tournament is played there, since 1969, one of the favorite competitions of Guillermo Vilas, the most outstanding tennis player that Argentina was born.

The four sons of Vilas, living with their father and mother Phiang in Monaco Since 2016, they starred in a magical moment that was reflected in the Thai networks: The four heirs, racket in hand, walked together on the courts of the club that saw Vilas shine in the ’70s and’ 80s.

Vilas, champion 62 times on the circuit ATP major between 1973 and 1983, he became a father for the first time at age 50: On November 15, 2003 Andanin was born, the first heiress, in Paris. Then came Lalindao, on January 6, 2010, in Miami. The same year, on December 23, in Buenos Aires, Intila was born. And finally, on April 3, 2017, in the Principality, the first male child of the Poet was born: Guillermo Jr.

Vilas twice won the legendary Monte Carlo tournament: first celebrated in 1976 after winning the final Polish Wojtek Fibak 6-1, 6-1 and 6-4, years before consecrating himself for the second time in 1982, when he surpassed Czech Ivan Lendl 6-1, 7-6 and 6-3.

In 1981, a year before his second crown, he starred in a particular story that today remains a myth: the final that played with the American Jimmy Connors marched 5-5 in the first set and stopped due to rain, but the most striking thing is that the match could never be resumed and it remained in the collective memory as the end without end.
