In the middle of the final match of the MX League, the sportswriter of TV Azteca, Enrique Garay, shared a controversial comment on social networks. While the León and Atlas clubs competed to gain the advantage in the first game of the final, for Garay the narration that was carried out by the private television stations should have been different.

Through his official Twitter account, he shared a publication that generated controversy. He explained that football is one of the simplest sports to play, consequently it is not difficult to understand. Under that logic, he asked that the narration be “easy.”

Despite the fact that his companions Christian Martinoli and Luis García are two of the greatest exponents of the narration of Aztec Sports, compared the way in which the chronicle of the game was being carried out by Fox Sports.

He sent a message via Twitter about the way Mexican soccer should be narrated:

“How important it is to remind soccer narrators and analysts that soccer is the most popular sport in the world because it is the easiest to play, and to understand. And that’s how it should narrate ”, he published on his official Twitter account.

Quickly received different criticisms and reactions. Comments like “The easiest to play? Billions of people in the world try, and everything remains in that … try “,” If it is so easy to play then why were you not a player? You would have solved your life and you would have become a millionaire “and” You’re in good shape, “were some of the comments he received.

And is that Enrique Garay is recognized for being an NFL narrator and he has rarely collaborated for Liga MX or international soccer matches. He is a football fanatic, in fact the team he supports is Atlas, which is why he criticized the narration he was listening to.

With a particular style and a passion for the sport, Enrique Garay created the way to approach the public and detail each play of the NFL game. However, on different occasions they have proposed a model to follow to generate more ratings on the channel; copy the style of Christian Martinoli and Luis García.

Despite the fact that they are soccer chroniclers of the MX League, for some businessmen of the television they came to propose the idea of imitating the model and combining the NFL with the extrovert style from Martinoli and the Doctor Garcia.

But Garay’s response was forceful and refused to do it. In an interview with Toño de Valdés He spoke about his reason for not merging the Martinoli style with the NFL. He began by telling that the great rating fight between television stations is the one has affected the individual styles of each journalist, as they force them to say or release phrases that keep the public’s attention.

“What I fight a lot is that the ratings people, the net knows the numbers but they do not know the television. They have told me thousands of crazy things: two years ago someone told me: ‘You have to narrate the NFL like Christian and Luis do football,’ “he commented.

When the proposal of said narrative style was put on the table, Enrique Garay replied: “Güey! You don’t know what you’re saying, you’re wrong.” He stated that the duo Martinoli Garcia he intersperses his jokes with the narration because there are periods in which no goals fall and they must see the way to remedy it.

“See that Luis and Christian have a soccer game where it’s 90 minutes for a goal and sometimes there isn’t even a goal, that’s why they tell jokes. Here in the NFL Tom Brady takes the ball every 20 seconds. How do you think ?! ”.
