We closed the year 2021 with the last tournament in which members of the Alhaurín de la Torre Badminton Club took part.
A new day of the Todobádminton provincial circuit was held in Rincón de la Victoria, to which twenty-five players from our club traveled. Many played in other categories that were not theirs, or even in doubles events that did not dominate so much, but it was the end of the party for the Alhaurina competition, in a new year that has once again been difficult to carry, due to problems health care that happen to the whole of society, but which, again, has been saved with note.
In this last competition, we must review in the sporting part, the results of several proper names: Sophie Triulcio, Luis Mampel, Robin Albarracín and Benito Gómez. There were several more podiums, for Miguel Navalón, Sebastián Gómez, Noelia García, Sergio Bedmar García, Daniel Cantero and the couple Rocío García / Pablo Martín, but the end of the year chime was won by the first four.
First Sophie returned to get the victory in the women’s individual sub-9, having won all the tournaments in which she has participated, a plenary session with a lot of future. We also have Luis Mampel, who won his second victory in the men’s U-15 singles on the circuit, after displaying a great game and after a great job. And finally, the first doubles final for Robin / Benito, who had to settle for the runner-up, reached in absolute mixed doubles, and being their best result to date.
We therefore close 2021, with the best wishes for the coming year, and that all sports can continue in their fight. Good cheer and happy holidays!
