EJU Congress in Istanbul – German Judo Association

EJU President Sergey Soloveychik opened the congress in Turkey and reported on the management of the corona pandemic. “I thank all the countries that have helped organize judo events. I am very proud of the excellent work of the teams. We became a family during the crisis, ”he says.

In addition to items on the agenda such as budget matters, reports / information and discharge of the board of directors, the relocation of the EJU headquarters from Malta to Vienna was on the agenda. A new statute was also up for discussion.

All motions were passed unanimously.

IJF President Marius Vizer also sent a message of greeting to the EJU Congress. He thanked the work of the EJU and especially praised the results at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In a gala event, EJU President Soloveychik honored all 17 European nations that won medals in Tokyo. Germany also received an award for the good Olympic results, which Frank Doetsch, spokesman for the board, received.
