David De Gea Branded Exaggerated!

David De Gea overreacted when his teammate stepped on his feet against Arsenal. The Manchester United goalkeeper was branded too much!

De Gea started as a starter when Manchester United hosted Arsenal in the Premier League continued at Old Trafford, Friday (12/3/2021) early morning hrs. The home team’s goal was conceded when the game had only been running for 13 minutes.

The incident that led to De Gea’s fall which led to Smith-Rowe’s goal was highlighted by England legend Alan Shearer. The former Newcastle United captain thought De Gea’s reaction was too exaggerated.

“Goal, because I didn’t see or hear the referee’s whistle. I didn’t see a serious foul on the goalkeeper and when you watch closely, De Gea really stood over him,” said Shearer, quoted by the Daily Star.

“I don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t feel the game has changed much. I think it’s normal in football, someone steps on your foot or your ankle.”

“He didn’t care where the ball went with himself falling down like that. Yes it does hurt, but I don’t think he should be lying like that. He got up again the next minute so it shouldn’t hurt too much,” said Alan Shearer of David De Gea.
