Damien Gaudin puts an end to his career

Frenchman Damien Gaudin announced on Wednesday that he was putting an end to his racing career. Gaudin, 35, turned professional in 2008 at Bouygues Telecom. He was part of the Total Direct Energies team since 2019.

L’Angevin, winner of Paris-Roubaix espoirs in 2007, has six victories on the road, mainly in time trial events. He won for the last time in 2018 by winning the prologue of the Tour du Luxembourg. This year, the one who took part in five big tours, notably finished 2nd in the Nokere Koerse.

Also active on the track, Gaudin was ten times French track champion. He was also part of the France team which took 5th place in the team pursuit at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
