In the field of women’s baseball, there are different difficulties than boys. There are many cases where men teach, and the Kashiwa Women’s Baseball Club, which was established in 2020, is one of them. “Because the structure of the body is different and I can’t touch it directly. It’s important to teach with words alone, but it’s difficult.” Director Hiroshi Konno believes that the presence of female leaders is indispensable.
This is the fourth female junior high school baseball team in Chiba prefecture, and has 28 members. The motto is “Enjoy Baseball”. However, there seems to be individual differences in how to receive “enjoy”, and he says, “There are players who enjoy comfort and players who enjoy winning.”
There is one reason why players with different consciousness gather. There are few options for women’s teams. It is said that there are many Chiba prefectures that currently have four teams.
