TENARES. The fierce La Chicharra quintet defeated the La Grama team in a dramatic match at the beginning of the final series of the 2021 Superior Basketball Christmas Tournament with Tenares Reinforcements.
The dramatic game was played at the Williams Gilbert Sports Center in this municipality and ended with a final score of 96-94, where in the last minutes of the game, the La
Grama could not execute the plays that would allow the match to be tied.
The most prominent for the La Chicharra team were Javier Correa with 33 points, Daniel Aciel 19 points and Josep Fermin with 16 points, for the defeated team, the most prominent were Randy Núñez with 32 points, Ronald Ramos 21 points and José Gil 20 points.
The final agreed to the best of three, continues next Sunday at 8:00 pm at the Williams Gilbert Sports Center.
Before the game, the most outstanding of the regular series were awarded, being the player Ronald Ramos of the La Grama team who took the main honors by heading the points, rebounds and assists departments, which allowed him to be elected the player with the most valuable. After the award ceremony, the municipal advisor to the executive branch, Elido Pérez, carried out the honor roll.
