The movie Little pig, the feature film debut of Carlota Pereda, will have its world premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, which will be held between January 20 and 30, 2022. The film, that has the participation of RTVE, will be featured in the Midnight section.
The director makes her feature film debut with this film that she also writes, and that is inspired by the homonymous short that earned him numerous national and international awards, among which are the Goya and José María Forqué Awards for Best Fiction Short Film, or the prestigious Slamdance Russo Brothers Fellowship (scholarship for a filmmaker selected by the Russo brothers, directors of The Avengers or Captain America, among other titles).
Carlota Pereda, who in her short career has had outstanding international support, has been included by the prestigious publication Variety in its TOP 10 in Cannes (ranking of 10 directors and producers to keep an eye on) and the filming of his first film at the Spanish Spotlight in Cannes. The project was selected by the Cannes Festival within the Focus CoPro initiative and was the winner of the Pop Up Residency for the development of feature films.

The film tells the story of Sara, for whom summer just means having to endure the continuous teasing from the other girls in your small town. But everything will end when a stranger arrives in town and kidnaps his bullies. Sara knows more than she is saying, and will have to decide between speaking up and saving the girls, or saying nothing to protect the strange man who has saved her.
