Luuk de Jong was told by FC Barcelona that he must look for a new club in January. There is one concrete offer, but that is not immediately the sexiest solution for the Dutchman.
According to the Spanish newspapers, Cadiz CF wants to take over the lease from Luuk de Jong. The 31-year-old attacker is still owned by Sevilla FC, but they are not waiting for his return there either.
Barça can in this way push down the wage burden, while Cadiz is engaged in a full relegation battle and therefore needs attacking reinforcements. Although the question is: does De Jong feel like going for a round in the basement of La Liga?
