Brazil’s football legend Ronaldo as a businessman! The 45-year-old joins his ex-club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte, where he started his professional career in 1993. The former striker secured 90 percent of the club’s shares for 62 million euros. “I am overjoyed to have completed this deal,” the superstar is quoted as saying.
Second investment for Ronaldo
The club, which fell into second class in 2019 with a high mountain of debt, had only decided to convert it into a stock corporation two weeks ago.
For Ronaldo, Cruzeiro is already the second football investment. In 2018 he bought 51 percent of the club shares of the Spanish second division club Real Valladolid for 30 million euros.
