BG Göttingen: Youngsters want to add to the home game against Bramfeld

While the Sartorius Juniors of the BG Göttingen are on their travels, the youngsters have a home game: The Juniors will appear on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Junior Basketball Bundesliga (NBBL / U19) at the bottom of the table in the B main round group North, Eisbären Bremerhaven (live on Sporttotal) . Also on Sunday, the youngsters will play their next game in the youth basketball league (JBBL / U16) in the local Sartorius Basketball Lab. The Juniors opponent is last in the table with one win and five defeats. The team of NBBL head coach Venelin Berov won the first leg in October in front of a home crowd with 86:74. The best thrower on the Göttingen side was Chris Schultz with 40 points.

Berov expects both teams to fight hard for victory. The focus of his team is above all on their own performance. “We want to get back on the right track and act with more self-confidence, determination and aggressiveness than before,” says the trainer. “The key to success against Bremerhaven will be not to put yourself under pressure through your own mistakes and to keep playing forward.”

After the youngsters took the lead in the JBBL relegation group 1 last weekend, Bramfelder SV is now a guest. The North German team, which lost the last two games against SC Rist Wedel (59:84) and ART Giants Düsseldorf (58:91), is currently in fifth place.

Nevertheless, Heinemann urges caution. “The video analysis definitely shows a team with more potential. We have to be warned, because our opponent switches quickly and surprises here and there with an unconventional style of play, ”says Heinemann, who demands more easy points from his team on the board than in the previous game against Rist Wedel.
