BG Göttingen is allowed to play against Braunschweig in front of 500 spectators – no free ticket sales

The so-called Christmas rest decided by the state of Lower Saxony also has an impact on the next home game of the BG Göttingen. For the game against Basketball Löwen Braunschweig on Sunday, January 2nd at 3 p.m. in the Sparkassen-Arena, the audience capacity will be reduced to 500. However, there will be no free advance ticket sales for the Derby. This was announced by BG spokeswoman Birte Meyenberg on Tuesday.

The other regulations remain as before. The 2G plus rule continues to apply. Only those who have been vaccinated and who have recovered who also need a negative corona test (certified rapid antigen test, not older than 24 hours or negative PCR test, not older than 48 hours) are admitted to the BG games. People who have already received a third (booster) vaccination do not need a test certificate. There is an FFP2 mask requirement in the entire Sparkassen-Arena.

No free advance ticket sales for the home game of the BG Göttingen

“Since the reduced audience capacity exceeds the number of season tickets, there will be no free advance ticket sales for the derby against Braunschweig,” explained Meyenberg. Only season ticket holders would have the opportunity to secure one of the few places in the Sparkassen-Arena. But, according to Meyenberg: “Season ticket holders who cannot secure a place naturally do not have to pay for this lot.” The money is not debited from the account.

Furthermore, clearances between the spectators must be maintained in the Sparkassen-Arena, so that season ticket holders have to book new seats again – the plastic season ticket is not valid. This also applies to standing room. From Thursday, December 30th, 4 p.m., booking for season ticket holders is possible. Season tickets can be passed on.

This is how season ticket holders book their new seats

Fans who have booked a season ticket for the 2021/22 season need a new ticket for the home game against Braunschweig, as the original seats may not be available due to the distance regulation. This applies to both seating and standing. In the online special shop (link to www.bggoettingen.de) fans can choose a place in two possible categories. Then enter your four-digit ticket code (to be found on the back of the season ticket) as a promotion code so that the ticket is then in the shopping cart. If several places are required, the process is repeated.

Then the customer data must be entered and the individual tickets personalized. The tickets can then either be printed out or downloaded to the cell phone as a mobile ticket. Since not all season ticket holders have the option of booking a seat for the game, the price for the game is only calculated if a new seat has been booked. The BG office, Schützenplatz 2, is open on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The most important points of the safety and hygiene concept at a glance

  • Sale of personalized tickets (the name on the ID card must match that of the ticket)

  • Approval only for fully vaccinated and convalescent persons plus certified rapid antigen test (not older than 24 hours) or PCR test (not older than 48 hours); Evidence required

  • People who have already received a third (booster) vaccination do not need a test certificate

  • Spectators who cannot be vaccinated are excluded from the 2G-plus rule. These require medical evidence as well as a certified rapid antigen test (not older than 24 hours) or a PCR test (not older than 48 hours). Schoolchildren between the ages of six and 18 are also exempt from the 2G plus rule.

  • Children under six years of age are admitted without proof, but require a ticket

  • FFP2 mask requirement in the entire Sparkassen-Arena, including at the seat (children under six years of age are exempt from the mask requirement, children up to 14 years of age are allowed to wear an everyday mask)

New tip-off time in Ulm – Chemnitz game will be rescheduled on January 12th

The Basketball Bundesliga changed the tip-off time for the game of the BG Göttingen at ratiopharm ulm on Thursday, December 30th. The game will start an hour earlier – at 6 p.m. – in the ratiopharm arena. The reason for this is the live broadcast on SPORT1’s free TV.

In addition, the catch-up date for the canceled duel of the violets at the Niners Chemnitz was announced by the league. The game will now be played on Wednesday, January 12th, at 8.30 p.m. in the Chemnitz Exhibition Center. The game had to be postponed because the health department in Chemnitz had quarantined several regular players in the team after corona cases.
