The Basque Country Ox Trial Championship will be played tomorrow at 8:00 pm at the Mungia Birle Harribide Trial. Three pairs of oxen will take part: Benguria from Bermeo, Etxebarria from Gatika and Garcia Alabak from Mungia. Elorrieta will be a replacement pair of oxen. The pair of oxen with the most squares in the 30-minute run will win the championship and wear blankets. The oxen will have to pull a 1,700-pound stone in those 30 minutes. There are no Gipuzkoan pairs this year and the victory will be in Bizkaia.
